Quality and Food Safety Management of the PAE – JUNAEB

The quality and food safety management system of JUNAEB’s School Feeding Program (hereinafter, PAE) constitutes a regulatory framework for the processes associated with the production and delivery of quality and safe food under the School Feeding Program. It is a conformity verification program with requirements and categorization for all service providers, who, by meeting the requirements of their contracts with JUNAEB, gain access to provide the Food Product Delivery Service for PAE beneficiaries.

The purpose of the Standard is to specify the food safety, quality, and operational criteria that must be applied across the links in the service chain for the preparation and delivery of quality and safe food for the PAE, so that service providers comply with their obligations regarding legal compliance and the protection of school feeding program beneficiaries. The format and content of the Standard are designed to facilitate the assessment of facilities (Head Office, Warehouses, and Establishments), operating systems, and procedures of the provider companies by a competent third party (the Certification Body), in accordance with the requirements of the Standard.
