What is tire certification for cars, vans, and trucks?
Decree No. 349/998 established the technical quality regulations for new tires intended for cars, vans, trucks, and buses, applicable to both domestic production and imports. Certification regulations DN002 (Technical Regulations for New Tires for Cars, Vans, Trucks, and Buses) and DN004 (Tire Certification Regulations) define the requirements and processes that each manufacturer or importer must follow.
The initial certification process involves auditing the manufacturer's facilities, evaluating their quality system, and conducting technical tests on the tires. The certificate of conformity issued by LSQA is also a requirement of the MIEM (Ministry of Industry, Energy and Mining) for processing the product's import license.
